How to Dye Your Labubu

She went through the trial and error of dying her Labubus.

Materials you need

• A large pot that fits your Labubu
• Dye (Ritmoore is recommended)
• Tongs
• Liquid Latex (Mehron Makeup is recommended) - Amazon link here
• Sewing Needle
• Thread
• Scissors or Stitch Ripper
• Latex Gloves
• Bristle Comb

1) Cut the thread at the back of the Labubu

2) Remove all the stuffing and keep aside for later

3) Wear your gloves. Put several coating of the liquid latex on the face hands and feet to protect it from getting dye on it. Let it dry completely

4) Follow your direction of your dye. For Ritmoore, the water needs to be heated to 200° for approx 20 to 30 minutes in order to retain the dye long term

5) Dip your Labubu in slowly and swirl around until the dye has seep into the synthetic fiber

6) Take out and then rinse until all the dye is gone

7) Remove the liquid latex

8) Dry the fur, let it air dry or use a hair dryer if you wish

9) Restuff and sew

10) Comb out the fur
