POP MART blasts off with LandSpace rocket collaboration

January 16, 2024

On December 9, a Zhuque-2 rocket launched at Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in Northwest China, featuring unique Skullpanda silhouette markings by blind box maker POP MART. This was the third flight for Zhuque-2 and its second success. It was also China's first successful launch of a private, liquid-fueled rocket and the first time a methane-powered vehicle sent payloads, including three satellites, into orbit.

The rocket sported designs from POP MART's "Front Garden Blossom" series, themed after traditional Chinese ink and wash paintings of plum blossoms. This collaboration, dubbed "Enchantment in Space," included collectible pin badges and a prize draw featuring artwork of Skullpanda and Zhuque-2. It's part of POP MART's ongoing effort to fuse their space-themed toys with real space ventures, reaching fans like spacecraft model collectors. LandSpace's partnership with POP MART aims to attract younger, space-enthused audiences, enhancing brand visibility through co-branding campaigns.
